MONETARY SPECULATION

Monetary speculation is a type of speculation aimed at profiting individually from the evolution of the prices of one currency relative to another, in other words on the evolution of exchange rates.

Since 2008, this type of speculation has been made accessible to as many people as possible, and with a great deal of publicity, many financial institutions offering access to foreign exchange platforms for small amounts of money.

These platforms offer real-time charts and displays of the prices of a large number of currencies, with the possibility of betting on undefined futures prices, with fixed-term CFDs, with futures contracts, with the payment of a spread and a very high risk taking, much higher than the amount bet.

Their ads feature this activity as a simple way to "make money with Forex". In France, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers warned investors against this type of speculation.
